Akron Marathon Blog: Finally a GOOD Week

I have to be honest, couple of weeks ago I was a little nervous as the Akron Marathon was only really 3 months away and my milage was in the crapper. Every week I had tried to put in a bigger week to up my milage I ended up sick, run-down or unmotivated. Well this week it changed. I had planned on running a 50 mile week and oh so close. I Ended with 47 miles on the week (7 Hours and 7 minutes) so I was pretty happy. That also included one rest day.

Below is the Garmin Data from my long run. I headed out with a couple of guys for the first few miles and slowly picked up the pace. After dropping them off, grabbed some gels, water and headed out for 5 harder miles. All said and done. 5 miles under 7:30 pace. After the run I took over my daughters kitty pool :)

I also grabbed some new pimped out Nike Lunar Trainers to race in. Next up a easy week and the Napa to Sonoma half marathon then a week of "just running" and wine drinking. I am so looking forward to it.
