AMETEK Tree City 5k

Get Your Motor Running at the AMETEK Tree City 5k for the United Way Saturday, July 2 at 7:00 PM at the Kent Heritage Festival

The race, which starts at Dix Stadium at Kent State University, will run through the campus and end near downtown Kent again this year. Immediately following the race the fun will continue with an official after party for ages 21 and older at 157 Lounge in downtown Kent. Entry fee includes transportation to the starting line, T-shirt, goody bag, and entrance to the after party with one free beer and food for runners. Proceeds from drink specials will benefit the United Way of Portage County so bring your friends.

AMETEK is giving back to the community by providing the lead sponsorship for “The AMETEK Tree City 5k for United Way”. “We are pleased to continue to take an active role in our community” said Matt French, Vice President & General Manager of AMETEK Precision Motion Control.

The proceeds from the race and after party will benefit the more than 40 programs funded by United Way in our community. These programs help thousands each year and have been impacted by the struggles in the local economy recently. Additionally, United Way provides the 211 Portage, the county-wide information and referral services that provides health & human service information on a 24/7 basis to the community.
