The Pedal for the Planet duathlon combines cyclists and runners alike, kindled
by their mutual interest of self-propelled
motion and adventure in the outdoors. Get
excited about the upcoming summer season,
with an early May race located at the scenic
coastline of Presque Isle State Park, in Erie
Pa.
Participant’s will run a 5K, bike a 20k and
run another 5K. Solo racers, or relay teams of
two or three are welcome! After race music,
awards and food, will be awaiting you at the
finish line. The first 100 registrants receive a
t-shirt. Fees are as follows: Solo racers:
$30.00 before March 31st and $35.00 after.
For relay teams of 2 or 3: $50.00 before
March 31st & $55.00 after, add $5.00 for 3rd

The main purpose of this event is to raise
money and awareness for bike racks, as an
initial project for future, larger bike initiatives
in Erie, Pennsylvania. The Erie Art Museum
has offered to design whimsical bike racks
made from donated scrap metal. We hope
you join us in our efforts to make Erie a more
bike friendly community, and we hope to see
you race day!
