On August 2, 2009, Pacific Sports will return to Cleveland, Ohio for their 23rd Annual Cleveland Triathlon presented by Accenture. This year’s athletes will start by diving off a floating dock into the North Coast Harbor at 6:45 AM. The athletes will continue on course biking the Memorial Shoreway and finish the run just north of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum into our new post race festivities in Voinovich Park.

This year’s official charity for the Cleveland Triathlon presented by Accenture has been announced as the United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland (UCP) in order to raise awareness and funds for the foundation. UCP has created its very own triathlon team named Team UCP and has encouraged inclusion of participants’ children by allowing the use of strollers and bike trailers. Team UCP will have representatives competing in all distances and welcomes anyone to join as a participant or in volunteer efforts to help make the race a success.

The Cleveland Triathlon offers distances in Sprint, Super Sprint and Olympic categories.
