The Sierra Designs Frequency Jacket is definitely a do everything type of jacket for the outdoor enthusiast. Made from a 100% polyester micro-fiber (190 g/m2) this midlayer piece can act as a soft base layer on cold days when matched up with something like a Kenosha Nano Jacket (had to throw in another plug for SD) or when worn as an outer layer it provides the warmth you need on days with temps in the 40s & 50s. The hemmed cuffs and tall collar keep the cold air out and the built in pockets give your hands a toasty retreat on chilly days.
The super soft polyester micro-fiber also keeps you warm while providing a nice style that you can sport just about anywhere: Our product testers have worn it as a business casual piece, while hiking in the woods, mountain biking and snowshoeing, or my favorite ... hanging out with friends at the local pub. You'll love the increased flexibility that the Condor construction offers while you ride, walk and hike around... the seams are made with semi-flexible fabric so you don't feel constricted and they aren’t irritating or abrasive.
During those hard aerobic sports like snowshoeing or mountain biking, the polyester micro-fiber dried quickly and did not seem to hold a lot of odor like some tech tops do. If we started to get a little warm we would roll it up in a ball and throw it into our jersey pocket or our backpack. It is lightweight and stuffs into small places very nicely.
The fit is good, most people say it runs a tad on the big and long side, but being 6'2" tall I did not mind the cut (fit). The extra room in the arms was welcome unless I was trying to stuff it under a tighter outer layer.
At a retail price of $59.00 it comes in blue and black. Definitely worth the cash.
