Sugoi Moxie Short –Women’s

by Sarah J. Malcolm

Comfortable, functional, and attractive is how I would describe the Sugoi Moxie Short for women.
I panicked when I first saw these shorts because they are really, really short. In fact, I had them for over a week before I mustered up the courage to try them on. My biggest fear was going out for a run and discovering the built-in liner was uncomfortable or dysfunctional and being “exposed” far from home. It took me another week before I actually ran in them.

I wore these shorts on two short runs of about 40 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised. They were so comfortable that they would work for longer runs as well. If you are looking to try out a pair of super short running shorts, then the Sugoi Moxie short should be on your list.

The Moxie Short is extremely well designed with the female body in mind. They are very figure flattering while remaining functional. You won’t look like a boy with these shorts on! If you have some curves, don’t fear the liner will do its job. It was amazing how the built-in liner stayed in place while running and stretching. You can be confident that you won’t experience any “northern exposure” while wearing these. I also loved the material. It was a bit more substantial than most running shorts but soft and lightweight.

I noticed that the front pockets were too shallow to use for more than a tissue. However, there is a built-in inner pocket where you could put your key. Also, make sure you try these shorts on before buying or plan to buy a size larger than the fit guide recommends. According to the Sugoi on-line fit guide, with my measurements I should wear a size small. However, the shorts I reviewed were a size medium and I am certain a small would have been too small.
