The Mason-Dixon Madness 50K Run (MDM 50K) is a USA Track and Field Association sanctioned running event open to everyone that showcases the Mon River Rail-Trail. MDM 50K is an out-and-back course of predominantly crushed limestone. Starting in Morgantown, the courses stretches south towards Fairmont, West Virginia. Running parallel to the beautiful Monongahalia River, this run is sure to be scenic and give you a taste of Appalachia. If the weather conditions are right, then you might have a fast race on this flat course. However, given that this is a winter run, you never know when the "madness" can begin! This year will feature a Civil War-style competition. Choose your side! Who will win the battle between the North and the South?!

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and the Christian Help Food Bank of Morgantown, WV.
