Jump, fly, crawl or slither on over to Glenwood Gardens on Saturday, May 14 for one memorable event! The Humana Big Bugs 5k Run and Kids fun Run begins at 8:00 a.m. and will be unlike any race in the tri-state, with a 3.1 mile trek through scenic Glenwood Gardens and among the huge insect sculptures that are part of the new David Rogers’ Big Bugs exhibit.

Pre-registration for the race is $15.00 plus an additional $10.00 for an optional t-shirt. Participants can register online at www.racedmc.com before 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11. Packet pick-up is Friday, May 13 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Running Spot in Glendale (267 East Sharon Road). Late registration is $20.00 (t-shirt an additional $10.00) and is available during packet pick-up and on race day beginning at 7:00 a.m. The Kids Fun Run begins at 8:05 a.m. and is free, with no registration necessary. The Fun Run is open to ages 12 and under and a ribbon will be awarded to all participants.

The post-race event includes refreshments and snacks, as well as a free ticket (with paid race entry) to enjoy the David Rogers’ Big Bugs up close and personal!

The David Rogers' Big Bugs exhibit will feature 13 huge humongous insects constructed of wood and other natural materials, as well as many special programs, concerts, movie night and more! The invasion goes on Saturday, April 30 through Sunday, August 21. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Thursday hours are from 9:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. and Sundays are 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
