This will be the first annual run for the Concord Distance Classic Half Marathon. Located in Concord Twp., Ohio it's located along I-90 in Lake County, just 1/2 hour east of downtown Cleveland. The event will consist of both a Half Marathon and a 5K. The event starts and finishes in a retail plaza, which will provide for lots of parking spaces and room to walk around. The 5K and Half marathon route will start together for the first mile and a half.

From there the 5K will continue going around a loop of a golf course community. The Half Marathon runners will split off and cross a road to the metroparks bike path. They will go north on the bike path for a little over 3 miles. The first 5 miles have all been flat and downhill. From here the course connects to a road for 5 miles of elevation changes. It will be challanging but fair, with lots of downhill to go with the uphills.

Coming to the 10 mile mark, the run turns off the main road and heads onto a flat and downhill road for the last 3 miles. The run finshes in th eplaza where it started. All Half Marathon finishers will receive a finisher's medal. All particpants will also receive a wicking shirt, as well as nice goodie bags. Plenty of door prizes will be available during the awards ceremony. For the elite runners, there is prize money.
