This fall, Innergy Fitness will be teaming up with the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsoring the first annual Patriot 7k Run/Walk/Relay. As the name implies, this will be a race and will take place in Coldwater, beginning at Innergy Fitness and ending at the Football Stadium. 100% of the proceeds go to some great causes, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (www.fallenheroesfund.org), Local Fire Fighters and First Responders and the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce for various projects and scholarships
Here are a few specifics...
The race is a 7k, which is about 4.35 miles, and it will take place on Thursday, September 10 at 6:30pm. It can be ran or walked by an individual or a 2 person relay team (the first person would do about 2.25 miles, second 2.1 miles). It will start in front of Innergy Fitness, will wind through Coldwater, out to Burketsville-St Henry Rd, and end up at the Football Stadium. We are working on lots of things that will make it a patriotic race (in light of September 11) like getting local active & reserve military personnel & veterans involved throughout the race and lining the course with American Flags. Also there will be a couple fire trucks, Thanks to the Yanks will have their “War on Terror Memorial Wall,” the Kiwanis will be selling their K burgers, as well as some other attractions at the Stadium.
