The Canal Winchester Indians Cross Country Boosters are holding the 3rd Annual Dr. Bender Cross Country Classic on Saturday, July 17, 2010. The Classic consists of three separate cross country races for runners of all ages. Starting at 8 a.m. there will be a 1 mile race for elementary age runners. This will be followed at 8:30 a.m. with a 2 mile race for middle school age runners. The final race of the day will be a 5K Open race for runners of all ages starting at 9 a.m. Also included are a college / high school Alumni Race and a Military Challenge that will be contested during the 5K Open race. The races will be conducted on the CWHS cross country course located at Canal Winchester High School, 300 Washington Street, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110. Tees to the first 250 entrants, lots of awards & refreshments! Cost is runner & family friendly - entry by July 4th is $15 for individual or $35 for family; after July 4th entry is $20 for individual or $50 for family. Proceeds benefit the Canal Winchester cross country programs and Operation Homefront.
