Excel In Cycling has been imitated… but has NEVER been duplicated. First in Northeastern Ohio, and now after 11 years EIC is the longest running winter indoor cycling program where participants use their own bicycles. With a firm foundation in sports-science based training (neuromuscular, biomechanical, cardiovascular & muscular strength/power), the EIC program is a three-month series of classes that gradually channel cyclists through increasingly more complex exercises, drills and intensity levels as the outdoor season approaches.
What makes EIC indoor cycling classes diferent than the rest? EIC classes are physically demanding as well as mentally challenging due to its concentration on technique work. To ride as well as a smooth, technically proficient road cyclist you must train like one, and at EIC you will be training with elite cycling coach Pete Gladden, who has amassed over 30 years as a competitive cyclist and multi-sport athlete, and who has enjoyed 17 years as an endurance sports coach.
EIC cycling classes are structured to accommodate six or more ability level groups, so you have the opportunity to train with your peers – road cyclists, duathletes, triathletes, mt bikers and recreational riders – no matter what your skill set. Ride YOUR bike on a stationary trainer in a motivating environment where music is played through a professional sound system and where DVD cycling videos are projected onto a 10-foot high wall. What’s more, you can enjoy wonderful locker & shower room amenities at the areas finest fitness facility – LifeCenter Plus.
