Outdoor Retailer’s All Mountain Demo Launches All New Events and Activities at Solitude Mountain Resort January 6, 2016
Retailers, reps and media were invited to preview the latest in winter sports and backcountry products
The All Mountain Demo, is a one of a kind product demo and testing day that kicks off the event-before-the-event at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2016. With a focus on backcountry safety, this unique event gives retailers, reps and the media first look at next season’s latest gear, equipment and technology.
Solitude Mountain Resort will be home for the day, January 6, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Products on exhibit will feature the latest 2016/2017 gear, accessories and technology like alpine touring randonee, snowshoeing and telemark gear, avalanche safety equipment, winter camping and survival gear designed to make the backcountry safe, enjoyable and accessible for all. Attendees are invited to test everything from avalanche safety equipment, winter camping and survival gear as well as apparel and footwear appropriate for the season.

This year’s All Mountain Demo features all NEW events and activities:
NEW – Craft Sports – AMD Official Base Layer – “Upgrade your base layer for free!”
Come by Craft Sports booth at AMD, take off your base layer and upgrade to a new Craft Active Comfort Long Sleeve Base Layer and your old base layer will be donated to a local mission. If you are too shy to strip down, you can donate $20 to charity.
NEW – First Chair to Last Call with Stanley, a brand of PMI
Kickstart your morning with a fresh cup of java or celebrate a day of earning your turns with a belly-warming drink inside the Stanley Warming Tent at the demo “Chill Zone”. Stop by, check out the latest innovations from the Stanley brand while you warm up and enjoy your day.
NEW – Dig Zone – Shovel Testing Area
At the Shovel Testing Area, you can test small-bladed shovels all the way to large blades — and go back to your shop armed with the best information for your customers. See for yourself which shovels move the most snow, which are best for building backcountry jumps, which have the best surface area, which are the best options for when you have limited pack space and everything in-between.
NEW – Uinta Beer Garden
Uinta Brewing Company’s journey began in 1993 with the reality that passion for craft beer and a hankering for the great outdoors could align in Salt Lake City, UT. Named after the only major east-west running mountain range located in the continental U.S., the Uinta team is ‘in-ta’ embracing their roots and spreading their wings. The Uinta Beer Garden is the place to be for a refreshing brew on the mountain. Enjoy Uinta filled Happy Hour from 3-4 p.m. while supplies last.
NEW – Polaris eBike Fat Tire Zone
11 am – 3 pm
Ride with Power at the Polaris eBikes Fat Tire Zone and test out the feel, fun and new technology on an electric bike like no other. There’s an eBike for everyone and you’ll never want the fun to end!

9 am – 4 pm
The Avalanche Project members AIARE, Utah Avalanche Center, and BCA invite you to test your backcountry skills on our field course, take a lap with an Avy Ambassador on your demo gear, and preview the Know Before You Go program during the Demo.
