Founder of Ohio Outside and still runs the day to day operations. Enjoys working events, gathering articles, doing product reviews, training for races, sampling great beers and even has the honor of picking up after Emma Doodles. He claims his life life could not be any better. His favorite race is the 24 Hours of Canaan and he loves to split his time between mountain biking and trail running. Former Team USA Duathlon Member, Elite Mountain Biker and Triathlete.
Dawn Taussig / Organizational Genius
She possesses organizational skills that would drive most men nuts. Dawn heads up a lot of the small details that are overlooked. With a degree in Recreation Management from Ohio University, she is in her element at the races. Out at our events, you’ll most often see her working registration or making sure the finish line area is running smoothly. Dawn enjoys keeping in shape by training for full and half marathons and getting workouts in at Orange Theory.
Emma Doodles / The Quicker Picker Upper
What more can you say about this ball of lovable fur. She cleans the floors, the faces of small children, does product reviews, will chew test a dirty pair of running socks and has a bag of dog food delivered to the office every 6 weeks. Her favorite event is waiting for the mailman to bring a treat. Her favorite distance is running to the nearest mud puddle or stagnate bit of water. She cross trains by digging holes in the yard.
Nate Loman / Gear Tester and Conversation Starter
Nate Loman has been a part of the endurance community here in Ohio for over 20 years. He excels at many different disciplines, it is hard to pin him down, as his Strava quips, he is a “jack of all trades.” He has competed in 4 national championships this year alone, Duathlon Nats, Mountain Bike Nats, Triathlon Nationals, and Cyclocross Nationals. He has been on the podium at the Ohio State Masters Cyclocross Championships the last 9 years, claiming the top step 5 times. This past year Nate has been drawn to a relatively new endurance sport here in the US, SwimRun events.
